leaves unfold

stretch

rejoicing in growth

blossoming

brazen

expanding in all directions

eager to venture to unknown places

growth ends

sun distant

cool breeze chilling

leaves shrivel

turn brown

energy expended now revoked

soul shutting down

changing of the season

back to the ground

to never return

become what once was

what should be
